Change it Up! Bystander Intervention

Change it Up! brings bystander intervention skills to the College of Engineering community for the purpose of building inclusive, respectful, and safe communities. It is based on a nationally recognized four-stage bystander intervention model that helps individuals intervene in situations that negatively impact individuals, organizations, and the campus community. Throughout the academic year, we offer

  • 90-minute Change it Up! To Stop Anti-Black Racism Workshops for Faculty and Staff
    • Unit-specific sessions are available by request to all CoE departments
    • Monthly open sessions (please see workshop calendar for registration details)
  • 90-minute Change it Up! To Stop Anti-Black Racism Workshops for Students
    • Faculty may request a workshop for their course
    • Two virtual workshops are offered during Graduate Student Orientation
    • CoE Student Organizations with SSO status can request a workshop through the Equity in Engineering Seal of Excellence Certification
  • CiU!-ABR/ ENGR 100- ENGR 100 faculty can request a 50 or 80-minute workshop for their first-year students
